A sulfonate represented by the following formula (1) is provided. R 1 SO 3 -CH (Rf) -CF 2 SO 3 - M + (1) (R 1 represents a substituted or unsubstituted linear, branched or cyclic alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 15 carbon atoms. Rf represents hydrogen or trifluoro (M + represents a lithium ion, a sodium ion, a potassium ion, an ammonium ion, or a tetramethylammonium ion.) [Effects] The sulfonic acid of the present invention has strong acidity because it has fluorine and sulfonyloxy groups as electron-withdrawing groups at the α-position (and γ-position) and β-position, respectively. Moreover, by substituting the ester portion, various substituents from bulky to low can be easily introduced, and the range of molecular design can be increased. [Selection figure] None |
