titleOfInvention Method for detecting nucleic acid
abstract Provided are a method for detecting a nucleic acid and a detection kit, whereby a low-molecular nucleic acid such as microRNA can be highly sensitively and conveniently detected. A detection kit to be used for detecting a target nucleic acid which comprises a first nucleic acid probe, a second nucleic acid probe, and multiple kinds of signal amplification probes which have complementary base sequence regions hybridizable with each other and are capable of forming a probe polymer via a self-assembly reaction, wherein the first nucleic acid probe has a first base sequence that is complementary to the target nucleic acid and a second base sequence that is complementary to the second nucleic acid probe, and the first base sequence is adjacent to the second base sequence; and the second nucleic acid probe has a base sequence that is the same as a part or the whole of one signal amplification probe from among the aforesaid multiple kinds of signal amplification probes.
