The invention concerns monohydroxysilane polysulphide, of formula (F) wherein: the radicals R, identical or different, are hydrocarbon groups comprising preferably 1 to 15 carbon atoms; the radicals R', identical or different, are divalent binding groups preferably comprising 1 to 18 carbon atoms; x is not less than 2. Said hydroxysilane is in particular a bis(propyldimethylsilanol) sulphide. The method for obtaining said hydroxysilane consists in subjecting to alcoholysis and/or hydrolysis a halogenated organosilane, followed by a sulphidizing step. The invention also concerns the use of said hydroxysilane as coupling agent. |
