abstract | A tyre for a vehicle carrying heavy loads, this tyre comprising a tread with at least a rubber composition containing at least: an elastomeric matrix comprising at least one modified copolymer in a proportion of at least 51 phr, which modified copolymer has a glass transition temperature Tg strictly higher than -65°C and not exceeding -30°C and is composed of a styrene and butadiene copolymer, functionalised mid-chain with an alkoxysilane group linking the two branches of the copolymer via the silicon atom bearing an amine function, and bound directly or via a spacer group to the silicon atom; a reinforcing filler having silica as a major component; a chemical cross-linking system; a coupling agent for coupling the elastomeric matrix and the reinforcing filler; and a plasticiser system comprising 2 to 15 phr, preferably 2 to 10 phr, of at least one plasticiser resin having a glass transition temperature Tg of at least 20°C, the total proportion of the plasticiser system in the composition ranging from 2 to 17 phr, and preferably from 2 to 12 phr. |
