This hydroxysilane is in particular a bis-(propyidimethylsilanol) polysulfide. A process for obtaining such a hydroxysilane by alcoholysis and/or hydrolysis of a halogenated organosilane, followed by a sulfuration stage. Use of this hydroxysilane as a coupling agent.
