Provided is a photoreceptor capable of obtaining stable electrical characteristics even when used for a long period of time and maintaining image quality stability during image formation. A photoreceptor having at least an undercoat layer, a charge generation layer, and a charge transport layer in this order on a conductive support, wherein the undercoat layer contains a binder resin and metal oxide particles.
