titleOfInvention | Electrophotographic photosensitive member, electrophotographic photosensitive member cartridge, and image forming apparatus |
abstract | In an electrophotographic photoreceptor, it is necessary to achieve both improvement in mechanical properties such as abrasion resistance and adhesion to a substrate, and stabilization of electrical properties such as residual potential, sensitivity, and chargeability. Therefore, it has been a problem to achieve both of these without causing a rise in residual potential and deterioration in image memory. In an electrophotographic photosensitive member in which at least a charge generation layer and a charge transport layer are laminated in this order from the conductive support side as a photosensitive layer on a conductive support, an aromatic carboxylic acid is formed on the charge generation layer. By containing a metal complex or a metal salt, it is possible to improve the adhesion of the photosensitive layer and suppress the accumulation of residual potential. Furthermore, the present invention relates to an electrophotographic photosensitive member image forming apparatus and a cartridge that exhibit performances excellent in mechanical characteristics and electrical characteristics.
