abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a coated article having an anti-stimulatory effect and suppressing the transmission of infectious diseases. An article made by a method comprising coating a surface with a coating formulation using a combination of low concentrations of a water soluble zinc salt and an antimicrobial agent in a coating material for a medical article. The coating formulation includes specific amounts of chlorhexidine gluconate; panthenol zinc acetate zinc lactate; quaternary ammonium compounds; and silicone emulsions, and no water-insoluble zinc salts.
