(57) [Problem] To provide a hydrophilic antistatic coating film and a method for applying the same. The present invention relates to a hydrophilic anti-static coating suitable for coating medical devices. The hydrophilic coating contains an antimicrobial selected from halogenated hydroxy or acyloxy diphenyl ethers. Unexpectedly, the coatings show excellent anti-biological properties against many common infectious microorganisms even after long periods of time. |
