abstract | The present invention relates to a positive resist composition and a positive dry film for manufacturing a circuit board, and has a sensitivity and a resolution that enable high-definition and high-accuracy wiring patterns, and at the time of pattern formation. Provided are a positive resist composition and a positive dry film that are excellent in substrate adhesion and peelability from a substrate after pattern formation, and a method for producing a circuit board using the same. SOLUTION: (A) a vinyl polymer having a monomer unit having an alkali-soluble group blocked with an alkyl vinyl ether, (B) a photothermal conversion material that generates heat by active energy rays, and (C) an acid by heat.
