The invention provides, in particular, a curable, particulate silicone composition which, while having thermofusion properties, is excellent in handling workability in overmoulding, or the like, and in curing, has excellent color fastness of a cured article, or the like, associated when the temperature is high. More specifically, the invention relates to a curable particulate silicone composition which comprises (A) organopolysiloxane resin microparticles devoid of thermofusion properties, having a cure reactive functional group having a carbon-to-carbon double bond, and comprising at least 20 mol% or more of siloxane units represented by RSiO 3/2 (where R is a monovalent organic group) or SiO 4/2 for all siloxane units, (B) a component consisting of a chain organopolysiloxane straight or branched liquid, and having a reactive reactive functional group having at least two carbon-carbon double bonds in each molecule, (C) a curing agent, and (D) a functional charge. This curable, particulate silicone composition is characteristic in that it exhibits hot melt properties as a composition as a whole. The invention also relates to an application of this particulate curable silicone composition. |
