titleOfInvention | Biological substance quantitative determination method, image processing device, pathological diagnosis support system, and program |
abstract | The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a biological substance quantitative determination method which makes it possible to accurately determine the numerical quantity of a specific biological substance inside a specimen; an image processing device; a pathological diagnosis support system; and a program. The present invention further pertains to a biological substance quantitative determination method for determining the quantity of a biological substance from a dyed specimen by using a product obtained by coupling a biological substance recognition site to fluorescent particles containing a fluorescent substance therein, the method having an input step for inputting a fluorescent image obtained by imaging the specimen, a first calculation step for extracting a prescribed region from the fluorescent image, and calculating a brightness integrated value obtained by integrating the brightness value of said prescribed region, and a second calculation step for calculating the number of fluorescent particles included in the prescribed region on the basis of the average brightness value per fluorescent particle and the brightness integrated value. Furthermore, the biological substance quantitative determination method is characterized in that the average brightness value is calculated from the correlation between the number of fluorescent particles measured from the image in which fluorescent particles are visible, and the brightness value of the fluorescence in the fluorescent particles calculated from the fluorescent image comprising the same range as the image from which the number of fluorescent particles was measured. |
