This toner binder is characterized by containing a crystalline resin (A) and a resin (B) that is a polyester resin or modified polyester resin obtained by reacting an alcohol component (X) and a carboxylic acid component (Y) as raw materials, and characterized in that the temperature (Tp) that indicates the top of an endothermic peak attributable to the crystalline resin (A), as measured by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), falls within the range 40-100ºC and the endothermic peak areas during heating (S 1 and S 2 ) satisfy relational expression (1). (S 2 /S 1 )×100 ≥ 35 (1)nHere, S 1 is the area of an endothermic peak attributable to the crystalline resin (A) in a first heating process in which the toner binder is heated, cooled and then heated, and S 2 is the area of an endothermic peak attributable to the crystalline resin (A) in a second heating process. |
