abstract |
Disclosed is a polyester polyol which can contribute to the reduction in environmental load and can be used suitably in a composition for producing a polyurethane foam having a good balance among high rebound resilience, proper hardness and excellent durability for use a cushion material for an automotive sheet cushion or the like, preferably a plant-derived polyester polyol. The polyester polyol has a hydroxyl value of 15 to 100 mgKOH/g. The polyester polyol can be produced by the condensation between a raw material containing at least one member selected from the group consisting of a fatty acid containing a hydroxyl group and a fatty acid ester containing a hydroxyl group and a polyhydric alcohol having an average number of functional groups of more than 3 and not more than 8. The raw material contains the fatty acid containing a hydroxyl group and the fatty acid ester containing a hydroxyl group in the total amount of 90 to 100 mass%. |
