abstract |
This invention provides a process for producing a liquid crystal display element, which, when a ferroelectric liquid crystal coated onto a substrate flows, is less likely to cause the disturbance of alignment at the interface of the flowed ferroelectric liquid crystals caused by contact between the flowed ferroelectric liquid crystals and is less likely to cause alignment defects. The production process of a liquid crystal display element is characterized by comprising a liquid crystal coating step of linearly coating a ferroelectric liquid crystal, on a first aligning film on a liquid crystal-side substrate, substantially perpendicular to or substantially parallel to the aligning treatment direction in a first aligning film forming step. |
