titleOfInvention | Liquid crystal display element |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display element suitable for manufacturing by a liquid crystal dropping (One Drop Fill: ODF) method and a manufacturing method thereof, which controls the alignment of ferroelectric liquid crystal without forming alignment defects. The main purpose. The present invention relates to an electrode layer formed by sandwiching a ferroelectric liquid crystal between two substrates, each formed on opposing surfaces of the two substrates, and on the opposing surface of one of the substrates. Formed on the opposing surface of one substrate on which the electrode layer and the linear barrier rib are formed, and on the opposing surface of the other substrate on which the electrode layer is formed. An alignment film, and a frame-shaped sealing member continuously formed so as to surround the outside of the display region defined between the two substrates and defined by the linear barrier ribs. The object is achieved by providing a liquid crystal display device characterized in that the longitudinal direction is substantially perpendicular to the alignment treatment direction of the alignment film.
