The invention relates to a novel method for preparing an advanced microorganism strain for producing 1,2-propanediol by the metabolism of a simple carbon source consisting in preparing a culture under pressure selected in an appropriate culture medium which comprises a simple carbon source, an initial bacterial strain containing a tpiA gene deletion and the deletion of at least one gene involved in a glyoxal methyl (propanal) conversion into lactate in order to develop in said initial strain one or several genes involved in a biosynthesis of DHPA into methylglyoxal and, afterwards into 1,2-propanediol towards advanced genes exhibiting an improved 1,2-propanediol synthase activity and in subsequently selecting the strain(s) of advanced microorganisms exhibiting said improved 1,2-propanediol synthase activity. The initial microorganisms, thus obtained advanced microorganisms and a method for preparing 1,2-propanediol and possibly acetone by the advanced microorganisms culture are also disclosed. |
