abstract |
The present invention provides a light reflecting polymeric composition that includes at least one halogenated-flame-retardant-additive-free polymer having dispersed therein a pigment package including a combination of Sb 2 O 3 and TiO 2 . The Sb 2 O 3 and TiO 2 preferably have an average particle size within the range of from about 0.05 μm to about 1.0 μm, and more preferably about 0.2 μm. When used in combination, the Sb 2 O 3 and TiO 2 pigments synergistically interact together to provide a polymeric composition exhibiting a reflectivity that is substantially higher than can be obtained by the use of either of the pigments alone. |
