titleOfInvention Method of surgical treatment of retinal detachment by extrascleral ballooning
abstract FIELD: medicine. n SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely ophthalmosurgery. For surgical treatment of retinal detachment by extrascleral ballooning, a tunnel is formed in the subtennone space in the area of the projection of the retinal rupture, balloon is put into a tunnel under the control of an ophthalmoscopy and the balloon is inflated with saline until the scleral shaft is formed. Before the balloon is placed in a tunnel, the entire length of the tunnel is placed with an optical fiber that is connected to a light source, then the illuminated balloon is put into the tunnel and installed in the area of the projection of the retinal rupture, after that the fiber is discharged from the balloon to the outside, and the balloon is inflated with saline solution. As an optical fiber, the 25G endosvetovod is used. Next, on the first day after the operation, a transpupillary delimiting laser coagulation of the retina is made along the edge of the rupture. After receiving the formed chorioretinal adhesions, the balloon is smoothly deflated and removed outward. n EFFECT: method provides a high-quality blockage of the retinal rupture and a reduction in the time of surgical intervention due to the error-free positioning of the balloon precisely in the zone of the projection of the rupture. n 1 cl, 1 ex
