titleOfInvention Optical resolution of 2-oxazolidinone derivative
abstract PURPOSE: A stereoselective esterase is allowed to act on racemic derivative of 2-oxazolidinone to obtain 2 kinds of optically active compounds. n CONSTITUTION: A microorganism or enzyme which has stereoselective esterase activity which from optically active 5-hydroxymethyl-oxazolidine-2-one of formula II by asymmetric hydrolysis of (R,S)-5-acyloxymethyl-oxazolidine-2-one of formula I (R 1 is H, or allyl, R 2 is alkyl), is allowed to act on the racemic compound of formula I to form an optically active compound of formula II and optically active 5-acyloxymethyl-oxazolidine-2-one of formula III. Then, they are separated and collected respectively. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1985,JPO&Japio
