PURPOSE: To obtain a chlorine dioxide-containing composition capable of being stored, usable easily and safely at need, by packing a container having an open part on one position with a composition consisting of a gel comprising a gelatinizing agent, water, and a solution evolving chlorine dioxide. n CONSTITUTION: A composition consisting of a gel comprising a gelatinizing agent, water, and a solution evolving chlorine dioxide is prepared. Agar and gelatin are preferable as the gelainizing agent, and an aqueous solution of the reaction product of chlorine dioxide and an alkali peroxide compound is preferable as the solution evolving chlorine dioxide. A gelation auxiliary of a cellulose derivative and an alcohol may be added to the composition. The container 3 having the open part 2 is filled with the composition 1. When it is used, the open part 2 is opened. The cover 4 is attached to the opening of the container 3, and on the inside of the cover 4, the inner cover 5 is equipped to prevent the scattering of the solution evolving chlorine dioxide when it is not used. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1982,JPO&Japio |
