titleOfInvention | P. Cloning and expression of chondroitinase I and II genes from Bulgaris |
abstract | (57) Summary The present invention encodes a major protein component of chondroitinase ABC called "chondroitinase I" from Proteus vulgaris (P. bulgaris) contained in the Nsi fragment shown in FIG. Regarding DNA sequences. The present invention also relates to P. DNA sequences encoding the second protein component of chondroitinase ABC called "chondroitinase II" from Bulgaris, cloning and expression of genes containing these DNA sequences, amino acids of recombinant chondroitinase I and II Sequences, and methods for isolating and purifying recombinant chondroitinase I or II. These methods are described in P. It gives significantly higher yields and purities than the methods obtained by modifying the methods already used for isolating and purifying native chondroitinase I from Bulgaris for recombinant enzymes.
