(57) [Summary]nA method of removing contaminants from particulate matter. The method comprises the steps of contacting the particulate material with a cleaning liquid and then feeding the raw material for the granular material to a series of processing stages that separate it from the cleaning liquid. The cleaning liquid removed from the at least one processing stage is transferred to the preceding stage where the raw material reaches first, and the raw material and the cleaning liquid are transferred in the opposite direction or the countercurrent direction with respect to the adjacent stages. The processing stage includes a first extractant treatment stage in which a first extractant solution is used to dissolve a first type of contaminant, and a second extractant treatment solution in which a second type of contaminant is dissolved. A second extractant treatment stage. |
