abstract PURPOSE: To obtain a photopolymerizable composition containing a photopolymerization initiation system having high sensitivity characteristics and superior solubility by incorporating a specified hexarylbiimidazole derivative and a sensitizer in the system. n CONSTITUTION: The photopolymerization initiation system comprises the sensizer and the hexarylbiimidazole derivative compound represented by formula I and which Ar 1 is an aryl group halogenated at the o-position, and at least one of Ar 2 and Ar 3 is an aryl group substituted by at least one of a carboalkoxyl group having a 1-12C alkyl group, a 1-8C alkyl group, and a 2-12C alkoxyl group, thus permitting the obtained photopolymerizable composition to be enhanced in sensitivity and solubility stability. n COPYRIGHT: (C)1991,JPO&Japio
