The present invention provides a method for producing a plant extract containing an o-diphenol type chlorogenic acid at a high concentration and substantially free of ferryl quinic acids and caffeine content and having excellent deodorant or antioxidant properties. A method for producing a plant extract containing chlorogenic acids composed of o-diphenol type chlorogenic acid and substantially free of ferrylquinic acid and caffeine, comprising the following steps (a) to (c): A method for producing a plant extract containing substantially no ferrylyl quinic acid and caffeine. Step (a) Step of extracting a chlorogenic acid-containing plant with water or a water-containing water-miscible organic solvent Step (b) Contacting the extraction treatment product obtained in the step (a) with a synthetic resin adsorbent Process step (c) Concentrating the synthetic resin-based adsorbent non-adsorbed liquid obtained in step (b) [Selection] None |
