Exosomes can be used to detect biomarkers for diagnostic, therapeutic-related, or prognostic methods to identify a phenotype such as a disease state or disease, eg, disease stage or progression. Originating cell exosomes can be used in profiling physiological states or determining phenotypes. Biomarkers or markers from exosomes specific to the starting cell can be used to determine a treatment plan for the disease, condition, stage, and stage of the disease, and can also determine the therapeutic effect. In addition, exosome-derived markers specific to the starting cell can be used to identify disease states of unknown origin. |
