titleOfInvention | Method for producing polymerized toner |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a polymerized toner comprising polymer fine particles obtained by dispersing a polymerizable monomer composition containing a release agent dispersion in an aqueous medium to form droplets, and then performing a polymerization reaction. An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a polymerized toner in which a release agent dispersed in a release agent dispersion is completely and uniformly encapsulated in the polymer fine particles without being released. In a method for producing a polymerized toner comprising polymer fine particles obtained by dispersing and polymerizing a polymerizable monomer composition comprising at least a polymerizable monomer and a release agent dispersion in an aqueous medium. The above-mentioned release agent dispersion is coarsened so that the particle size of the release agent is 250 μm or less in terms of volume-based median diameter using a stirrer having high shear force in a liquid containing a polymerizable monomer. After the dispersion, the dispersion is further finely dispersed using a wet pulverizer using a pulverization medium, and the temperature of the release agent dispersion in the coarse dispersion step and the fine dispersion step is a polymerizable monomer of the release agent. It is characterized in that it is kept at a temperature lower by 40 ° C. or more than the dissolution temperature. [Selection figure] None |
