abstract |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye-based polarizer having a high heat transmittance and a high degree of polarization, and capable of suppressing unevenness in transmittance at the time of black display and having good heat resistance. SOLUTION: A polarizer made of a film having a structure in which minute regions are dispersed in a matrix formed of a light-transmitting thermoplastic resin containing an absorbing dichroic dye, and transmitting a linearly polarized light in a transmission direction A polarizer having a rate of 80% or more, a haze value of 10% or less, and a haze value with respect to linearly polarized light in the absorption direction of 50% or more.
