A method for producing a polyurethane foam having a low specific lower aliphatic aldehyde content. A method of producing a polyurethane foam by reacting a polyether polyol and a polyisocyanate in the presence of a foaming agent, wherein the content of formaldehyde and acetaldehyde in the polyether polyol is 8 ppm or less.
