(57) [Summary] Diaryl carbonate is produced using a series of energy-efficient reactive and distillation columns integrating mass and energy. Utilizing the method or apparatus of the present invention, the production rate of the diaryl carbonate is increased, and the unreacted starting materials and by-products are conveniently recovered and recycled to the process for producing the diaryl carbonate or used for the production of the dialkyl carbonate.
