titleOfInvention | Masterbatch pigment, toner manufacturing method, color toner and manufacturing method thereof, image forming method, and image forming apparatus |
abstract | (57) [Problem] To improve the degree of coloring and transparency of a masterbatch pigment, and at the same time, achieve both charging stability in a high-temperature environment. SOLUTION: By using a dry powder pigment as a pigment and using a resin having an average particle diameter of 20 μm or less as a binder resin, the pigment is effectively dispersed in the mixing step in a dry state, and Dispersibility is improved. Further, when mixing the dry powder pigment and the binder resin, water is added, and the mixture is heated and kneaded to remove water, so that the water soaked into the aggregates undergoes volume expansion during the heat kneading. Then, a force to disintegrate the aggregate from the inside is applied. Further, since the heat of vaporization accompanying the evaporation of water is removed from the kneaded material, the kneaded material is kept at a low temperature and high viscosity, and the cutting power is effectively applied to the pigment aggregate. It is not preferable that the solvent remains in the master batch pigment after the dispersion treatment, but water can be easily removed because the affinity for the pigment or the resin is lower than that of the solvent. |
