abstract (57) [Problem] To provide a battery capable of preventing a short circuit between a battery element and a lead and easily bending the lead. SOLUTION: A flat plate type battery element 1 is interposed between exterior materials 2 and 3, and peripheral portions 2a and 3a of the exterior materials 2 and 3 are joined to each other to enclose the battery element 1. The battery element 1 is formed by stacking a plurality of unit battery elements. The tabs 4a and 4b of each unit battery element are bundled to form a terminal portion, to which a lead 21 is joined. An insulating film 20 is provided on the lead 21. In the portion where the lead 21 is bent, the insulating film 20 has a concave portion 18 or a cut 19 Is provided.
