abstract |
The invention relates to a transmission belt (10) comprising a belt body (12) and a cable (18). The cable, consisting of a poly-p-phenylene-benzobisoxazole fiber, is embedded in the belt body consisting of a rubber composition, the body and the cable are made into a single piece by vulcanization of the rubber composition, the surface of the cable being subjected to a primary treatment comprising the application of a mixture of an epoxy compound and a latex and a treatment and a secondary treatment comprising the application of an adhesive by coating based on resorcinol-formaldehyde latex and a thermal treatment. Application: production of transmission belts having improved resistance. |
