abstract THE ADDITION RELATES TO A PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE MACROMOLECULAR COLLAGEN ACCORDING TO THE MAIN PATENT. THE PROCESS CONSISTS OF TREATING THE NATURAL INSOLUBLE COLLAGEN WITH AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF AN ALKALINE SULPHATE AND HYDROXIDE FOR AT LEAST 48 HOURS TO SAPONIFY THE FATS SUSPENSIONING IN THIS COLLAGEN AND TO INFLATE UNIFORMLY WITH THE FIBER TREATMENT, WITH THE COLLAGEN. AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF AN ALKALINE SULPHATE FOR AT LEAST 4 HOURS TO STABILIZE THE INTERFIBRILLARY BONDS, TO DISSOLVE THE COLLAGEN IN AN AQUEOUS SOLUTION, TO FREEZE THE SUCH SOLUTION, THEN TO DEHYDRATE IN A VACUUM FOR AT LEAST 12 HOURS. VARIOUS BIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE MATERIALS, INCLUDING A SPERMICIDE, MAY BE ADDED TO THE AQUEOUS ACID SOLUTION BEFORE FREEZING. THE PRODUCT OBTAINED MAY BE IMPLANTED IN THE ORGANISM OF AN ANIMAL WHERE THE ACTIVE SUBSTANCE, IN PARTICULAR SPERMICIDE, IS SLOWLY RELEASED. COLLAGEN MAY REMAIN IN THE BODY IN WHICH IT DISSOLVES SLOWLY THROUGH ENZYMATIC DIGESTION AND UNDER THE EFFECT OF OTHER BIOLOGICAL PROCESSES.
