titleOfInvention | PROCESS FOR PREPARING MINERAL MIXTURES FOR ANIMALS |
abstract | Prepn. comprises dissolving different salts contg. the microelements Fe, Zn, Mn, Cu, Co, I, Mo and Se in a soln of technical-grade wet-process H3PO4; then reacting the soln. with 1 of CaCo3 and dolomite and finally allowing the mixt. to solidify. The acid pref. contains 28-54, esp. 42-54 wt. % P2O5 and additionally Vitamins A, D3 and E can be added to the acid mixt. Completely homogeneous granules are obtained simply without the use of screw-plate presses. They are appetising to animals, porous (so can easily be impregnated subsequently) and their relative proportions of P, Ca and Mg can be easily adjusted. The phosphate content exists in a readily-assimilable form (completely soluble in 2% citric acid). |
