The elements, Fe, Cu, Co, Mn, Zn, I, Se, Mo and B in the form of their cpds. e.g. iodides, iodates, sulphates molybdates, borates, oxides, selenates and carbonates are added as powders and granulated in the presence of phosphoric acid and >=1 of Ca-, Mg- and Zn- oxides, Ca-, Mg-, Zn-, Cu-, Mn- and Fe- carbonates, Ca- and Mg-hydroxides and Ca phosphate. If water is used, the size of the granulated prod. can be controlled by the intensity of the mixing in the final reaction phase. Dust-formation during processing, lump-formation during storage and segregation are avoided, the taste of the feeds is improved and the process is cleaner. Better homogeneity of the distribution of the trace elements in the final feed is obtd. and analytical control is easier. A prior addn. of Co, I and Se is no longer necessary. |
