The invention relates to an agent for preventing,nimproving or treating hypertension, which exhibits anhypotensive effect, inhibits the rise of blood pressurenand improves hypertension, and food for preventing ornimproving hypertension, which does not become a burden inndaily intake, has a higher antihypertensive effect and isnuseful as a diet during treatment for patients ofnhypertension. The agent for preventing, improving orntreating hypertension contains the following componentsn(A) and (B):n (A). a compound selected from the group consisting ofncaffeic acid, chlorogenic acid and ferulic acid, andnesters and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof; and (B) a component selected from the group consistingnof central nervous system stimulating components, foodnfibers, extracts of perennial evergreen leaves of thengenus Camellia , Theaceae, or Eucommia ulmoides Oliver,n Eucommiae, organic acids having a molecular weight of 60nto 300 (excluding citric acid) and pharmaceuticallynacceptable salts thereof, and sugar alcohols. |
