A beverage comprising the following ingredients (a), (b), and (c): 0.05 to 10 wt.% chlorogenic acid compound mixture containing an isochlorogenic acid compound (wherein the proportion of the isochlorogenic acid compound to the ingredient (a) is from 1/3 to 1/20 by weight); a hydroxycarboxylic acid compound contained in an amount 5 to 30 times by weight the amount of the ingredient (a) and in an amount of 0.25 to 15 wt.% based on the beverage and/or a vegetable- or fruit-derived flavor substance contained in an amount 0.1 to 30 times by weight the amount of the ingredient (a) and in an amount of 0.25 to 15 wt.% based on the beverage; and 30 to 99.7 wt.% water. The beverage has stable blood pressure-lowering activity, a satisfactory flavor, and satisfactory long-term storage stability. |
