Insulating materials each containing a cycloolefinic polymer; in particular, a layer insulation material for high-density mounting substrates, which contains a cycloolefinic polymer containing 50 molar % or more of repeating units derived from a cycloolefinic monomer and which has interlaminer interconnecting via holes having a diameter of not larger than 200 νm; a dry film formed from a curable resin composition containing a cycloolefinic polymer having a number-average molecular weight in the range of 1,000 to 1,000,000 as determined by gel permeation chromatography and a curing agent; resin-coated metal foils obtained by forming a cycloolefinic polymer film on one surface of a metal foil; laminates, multilayer laminated boards and successively laminated multilayer boards each prepared from the insulating materials; and processes for producing these. |
