A resin composition comprising ⊂-polylysine or a salt thereof (⊂PL) having a water content of not more than 15 % by weight has excellent antimicrobial activity, is safe in use, and, by virtue of good dispersion of the polylysine or salt thereof in the resin, does not deteriorate the appearance of a molding and hence is suitable for a wide variety of applications including resin moldings such as medical and sanitary materials, tableware, living-related materials, interior materials for automobiles, domestic electric appliances, films, sheets, and fibers, coating such as paints, and inks. Moldings made by using the resin composition can maintain, even after repeated use, the antimicrobial effect and hence are suitable for use for a long period of time. |
