A 5-aminoquinolonecarboxylic acid derivative represented by general formula (1) or a salt thereof, and an antibacterial containing the same as the active ingredient, wherein R1 represents hydrogen, amino, C¿1?-C5 linear or branched alkyl, or an alkylamino group having a C1-C5 linear or branched alkyl group; R?2¿ represents hydrogen or C¿1?-C5 linear or branched alkyl; X represents halogen; Y represents CH2, NH, CHR?3, NR3¿ (wherein R3 represents C¿1?-C5 linear or branched alkyl) or oxygen; and Z represents an oxygen atom or two hydrogen atoms. It has a potent antibacterial activity against gram-positive bacteria including resistant strains and can be well absorbed in living organisms. |
