abstract Disclosed is an application of an amine compound in removing organic sulfides. The amine compound may be a mixture of one or more of benzylamine, benzylethanolamine, and derivatives thereof. The amine compound may be directly mixed with water to form an aqueous solution with a mass fraction of 5-75% as an absorption solution, or may first be mixed with an organic alcohol amine, and then mixed with water to form an aqueous solution with a mass fraction of 5-75% as an absorption solution. In addition, 0-3% of an inhibitor and a 0-3% of a modifier are added, the total content of each component being 1. By using the described absorption solution, H2S and the total sulfur content in streams such as natural gas, oil field associated gas, refinery gas and blast furnace gas can be efficiently reduced simultaneously. Compared with existing organic alcohol amine compounds, the amine compound of the present invention has higher organic sulfur solubility and removal efficiency, and helps to respond to the desulfurization demand of raw gas having high organic sulfur content and low absorption pressure.
