A method for producing a polycarbonate, wherein a dihydroxy component which is composed of at least one nonaromatic dihydroxy compound that is selected from among alicyclic dihydroxy compounds (which may contain an ether oxygen atom) and the like, or a mixture of the nonaromatic dihydroxy compound and an aromatic dihydroxy compound, and a specific fluorine-containing carbonate component which is selected from among compounds represented by formula (1) and the like, are reacted with each other in the presence of a condensation catalyst, and a thus-obtained prepolymer is subjected to solid-phase polymerization. |
