abstract The present invention realizes enhanced efficiency of reduction reaction of carbon dioxide at a reduction electrode. The present invention is provided with an oxidation tank 1 including an oxidation electrode 2a, a reduction tank 4 which is adjacent to the oxidation tank 1 and to which carbon dioxide is supplied, and a gas reduction sheet 20 disposed between the oxidation tank 1 and the reduction tank 4, the gas reduction sheet 20 being a sheet in which an ion exchange membrane 6 and a reduction electrode 5 are layered, the ion exchange membrane 6 being disposed on the oxidation tank 1 side, the reduction electrode 5 being disposed on the reduction tank 4 side and connected to the oxidation electrode 2a by a conducting wire 7, and reduction reaction with the carbon dioxide gas being performed by an electric current flowing in the conducting wire.
