abstract |
A dentifrice composition is described comprising a carboxylic acid or alkali metal salt thereof, a source of free fluoride ions and optionally a copolymer of methyl vinyl ether with maleic anhydride or acid. Importantly the dentifrice composition is mildly acidic, having a slurry pH in the range greater than 5.0 to less than 6.5. The composition enhances fluoride uptake into teeth and provides protection against acidic challenges. |
