abstract | [Problem] The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a (poly)siloxane monomer having excellent wettability, which is suitable for the production of an ophthalmic device; and a method for producing this (poly)siloxane monomer. [Solution] A compound which is represented by formula (1). (In the formula, R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; L1 represents a single bond or a divalent hydrocarbon group having 1-6 carbon atoms, which may contain an ether bond, an ester bond, a urethane bond or a combination thereof; Z represents a monovalent organic group having 1-10 carbon atoms, which has a quaternary ammonium group or an amphoteric ionic group; A represents a linear or branched organopolysiloxanyl group having 1-100 siloxane units; L2 represents a linear, branched or cyclic divalent hydrocarbon group having 2-10 carbon atoms, which may contain an ether bond; and L3 represents a divalent or trivalent hydrocarbon group having one carbon atom, and in cases where L3 is a trivalent hydrocarbon group, L3 and L2 combine with each other, thereby forming a ring.) |
