abstract This biological tissue image processing device includes a machine learning type membrane estimator. The membrane estimator generates a plurality of membrane likelihood maps from a plurality of original images. A plurality of provisional membrane images are generated from the plurality of membrane likelihood maps. The provisional membrane image (operation target image) corresponding to a selected thickness is displayed in color within a work window (100). A thickness selection tool (108) is included in the work window (100), which also includes a membrane addition button (118) and a membrane deletion button (120).
