titleOfInvention Luminescent substance and illuminating device
abstract The invention relates to a luminescent substance. The luminescent substance has the general empirical formula An+ x[ Z1-yZ*yO2-zNz] m-: E and crystallises in a crystal structure which has a layer {uB, 12∞}[2 (Z, Z*) 2 (O,N) 4], wherein Z = B, AI and/or Ga; z* = Li, Na and/or K; E = Eu, Ce, Yb and/or Mn; A = Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs, Zn, Cu, Ag, Y, La, Lu, Sc and/or Zr; 0 < xn ≤5; 0 ≤ y ≤ 1; 0 ≤ z ≤2; and 3-2y-4-z = -m = xn. The luminescent substance does not crystallise in the monoclinic space group P21/m.
