abstract |
The purpose of this invention is to provide a method which uses a recombinant fusion polypeptide to produce hepatocyte-like cells from somatic cells by facilitating the expression of genes which are involved in cell differentiation, using. The inventors have provided a membrane-permeable peptide, a DNA-binding polypeptide which binds to a gene which is involved in cell differentiation, and a fusion polypeptide which includes a transcriptional activator. The inventors have also provided a method for producing hepatocyte-like cells from somatic cells by culturing somatic cells in a culture medium that contains said fusion polypeptide. |
