Disclosed are methods and compositions for treating interstitial lung diseases. The method and compositions utilize or include as a therapeutic agent an inhibitor of Wnt/beta-catenin signaling which may be administered via an inhaled formulation of the inhibitor. Suitable inhibitors of Wnt/beta-catenin signaling may include but are not limited to the compound (9E,10E)-2,7-bis(((3R,5S)-3,5- dimethylpiperidin-l-yl)sulfonyl)anthracene-9,10-dione dioxime which otherwise may be referred to as BC-2059. |
